Our Partners

TKR Construction incorporates diverse skill sets into every project. All three partners are involved in every stage of every project. Dave, Paul, and Ken make sure to give feedback to each other and to all clients, and take personal pride in every home they create.

Dave Ritchie has been building custom homes in Southern California for over twenty years. Dave has broad experience in all aspects of construction, and serves as the construction foreman on all TKR projects. Dave’s problem solving skills and construction expertise allow for smooth and rapid progress through the construction process. His on site presence and knowledge helps lead an experienced group of subcontractors who help create custom homes. Dave and the TKR crew are personally responsible for many of the trades in the building process, including the finishing touches on all of the projects. Dave grew up in the Rossmoor area, and still lives locally in Los Alamitos with his family.

Paul Kalish has a diverse background in custom home building. After studying design in school, Paul pursued other career interests before returning to the industry. It was his own experience building his custom home that inspired him to join TKR. Paul is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the corporation, but also plays a major role in managing projects. Paul’s good taste and creativity are put to use with the clients, and he is responsible for the coordination of most of the finishes that go into a final house. Paul’s enthusiasms and energy are contagious, and he offers leadership and organization to projects. Paul lives in Rossmoor with his family.

Ken Todd is an architect licensed by the State of California. After graduating from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, Ken was involved in diverse project types before joining TKR. Ken now is responsible designing almost all of TKR’s projects. In addition to the architecture, Ken is involved in managing many of TKR’s projects. He works closely with clients from the architectural stage, through the project completion. His hands on aproach to both construction and architecture make him a well-rounded architect, and better able to incorporate construction realities with architectural creativity. Ken lives in Huntington Beach with his family.
